Abstract

After the advent of private TV drama channels, useless serials are being aired on our TV screens. If we count plays today, we will soon count all plays. But so much extravagance in the drama industry is bad it came at the cost of declining quality of TV dramas. This paper examines how quality can be brought back in Pakistani dramas and what are the main factors behind the popularity of PTV dramas.
