Abstract

Ejaz Rahmani was born on February 2, 1936 in the famous city of Aligarh, India. His father's name was Syed Ayub Ali Rahmani. When he was 9 years old, his mother died. When he was 12 years old, his father also left this place. Because of this, he faced great difficulties in getting an educationIn 1954, Ejaz Rahmani migrated from India to Pakistan. In 1958, he got married to his cousin. After that, his second marriage was with Shaheen Bibi, who supported him in every way in his literary journey. He started his literary journey with poetry. His first Naatiya collection was named "Ijaz Mustafa". After that, 5 Naatiya collections and 6 ghazals were published. Apart from this, Ijaz Rahmani was a poet as well as a researcher, critic and prose writer.Ejaz Rahmani will pass away at the age of 83 on October 26, 2019. His funeral prayer was offered on October 27 after Asr. The shining star of Urdu literature has come to an end.
