Abstract

  Umer Bin Al-Fariz is a renowned Poet of the Mystics, his Title was “Sultan-ul-Ashaqin”. He reached the highest levels in Sufism.He gained understanding in Religion and expanded in Language and Literature. Then he imagined in himself that he would follow the Sufi curriculum, so he traced their trails and learned their Secrets, and visited the holy places in Mecca, then visited and stayed in Mecca for a long time, then returned to Egypt and lived here for the rest of his life with dignity and greatness. He was dignified and respectful of his mysticism and revelation, good-natured, well-groomed, and a lot of piety. His poetry is an expression of a deep spiritual experience. Addition to that his poetry is filled with the terminology of the Sufis, their love and their pain, as well as their pure spiritual virginal love. Ibn al-Fariz is the most knowledgeable of the Sufi poets, and the most famous of them is Sufism.  Introduction of Umer Bin Al-Faraz, His Biography, His Poetry, especially his Poetry of Sufism and Intellectual poetry, its Topics and its Sources are enlightned in this paper. This Poetry is a beautiful addition in Arabic Literature. Many Other Poets after Umer Bin Al-Fariz have followed the topics and styles of his poetry, which serve the purpose of a resource and authentic materials.
