Abstract

Popular Literature always represents ambition of public rather than on its artistic and philosophical features. Popular literature mostly projects emotions and feelings of teenagers, therefore it is called Public literature Popular literature include all those stories which are not included in common literature.

In our era Magazines and Digests comprises of public literature. In popular literature Spy, Romantic and Mysterious stories are written. In the present era all the digests “SUSPENSE DIGEST”, “JASOOSI DIGEST”,”AANCHAL”, “NAYE UFAQ”,”SARGUZISHT”, “NAYA DAR”, “NAYI DUNYA”, “KHOFNAK DIGEST”,”SUB RANG DIGEST” etc included in it. The writers of Spy series e.g. “IMRAN SERIES”, “KERNAL FAREEDI SERIES”, “BARMOODA SERIES”۔are also included popular literature.

There are many writers that are specilly known for this type of novels e.g. Ibn-e-Safi, Mazhar Kaleem, Azhar Kaleem, Safdar Shaheen, Tanveer Ahmad, Ishtiaq Ahmad etc.

A-Hameed, Aslam Rahi, Umaira Ahmad, Nimra Ahmad, Nighat Abdullah etc are also known for their work. Science Fiction Novels written are also included in this type of literature.
