Abstract

Shaikh Mubarik Ayaz is the major voice of modern poets after Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai and Sachal Sarmast in Sindh. Shaikh Ayaz is known as the pioneer of modern poets. He gave more than sixty books of different genres of language and literature on Sindhi and Urdu languages. His poetry portrayed love, romance, patriotism and the depiction of landscape. He contributed his services in poetry،prose، biography and autobiography. Shaikh Ayaz is known as a revolutionary and progressive poet, who raised voice against poverty. The present research paper attempts to know about his contribution in Urdu poetry.
