Abstract

Allah Almighty, for the guidance of humanity, appointed Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a prophet for all mankind. Obedience and submission to the noble Prophet (peace be upon him) have been made obligatory, and every statement, action, deed, and expression of his carries authority. Silence in this context refers to the Prophets (peace be upon him) refraining from commenting on the statements or actions of his companions. His silence is considered approval, as promoting goodness and preventing evil is a part of his Prophethoood. Exegetical hadith has been used by the noble scholars to derive various legal rulings. Its conditions, elements, and types have been mentioned. Understanding the circumstances, reasons for the transmission of the hadith, of the knowledge of exegetical hadith make comprehending the complexities of the hadith easier and more accessible.
