Abstract

In this article, a research and critical review of the Islamic state system has been presented. Islam is a perfect religion and a complete system of life. While Islam emphasizes the reformation of the individual in individual life, it also lays down the golden principles of collective life and guides humanity in all areas of life. The system of politics and governance of Islam is different from the current democratic system. And it is completely free from its defects and corruption. In the Islamic system of life, where worship is important, affairs, society and ethics also have the first rank. Just as Islam has its own system of economy and its economic principles, in the same way Islam has its own system of politics and government. The requirements of both are fulfilled by each other, so Mawardi says that when the religion becomes weak, the government also becomes weak and when the government supporting the religion ends, the religion also becomes weak, its traces start to fade. Islam has never neglected the importance of the state in its entire history. Prophets (A.S.) struggled to subjugate the collective power of the time to Islam. The main idea of his call was that the authority should be pure only for Allah Almighty and Shirk should be eliminated in all its open and hidden forms. From the study of the Quran, it is known that Hazrat Yusuf, Hazrat Musa, Hazrat Dawud, and the Prophet ﷺ also established a regular Islamic state and ran it in a standard form. There is no concept of distance between religion and politics in Islamic thought and this is the reason why Muslims always struggled to establish their state on Islamic principles. This struggle is a requirement of their religion and faith. Just as there are teachings on morals and good character in the Holy Quran and Prophetic Hadiths, there are also clear orders about society, civilization and politics.
