Abstract

Human history, society and variation in life always reflect in literature. Uniformity and stagnation give rise to meaninglessness not only in life also in fiction. The day-to-day changes and social conditions affect society at the individual and collective levels. Literary creation is considered worthless if it does not reflect contemporary trends and social issues. It is expected from good literature that a glimpse of any particular era should be reflected in it.

In this sense, while transforming into fiction, it not only expanded the subject matter through its requirements and tendencies but also expanded its dimensions. In terms of periods, fiction not only fully absorbed the particular era and its effects, but also accepted the changes in technique, form and structure under the influence of changing times. And at the same time, it went through a variety of style experiments. This article will be analyzed in detail, that how the expression of all these mentioned aspects is seen in fiction, especially in Urdu short story.
