Abstract

Istawa Alial-Arsh is one of the verses of the Holy Qur'an which are called similar verses.  Apparently, from the interpretation of these verses, it is suspected that Allah Ta'ala is present in some place. This is the reason why the cult of idolatry has normalized these signs on the apparent meaning.  They believe that Allah sat on the throne in the same way that the king of the world sits on the throne.Whereas, according to Shia and Sunni commentators, the reason for considering the verses of Istawa Ali al-Arsh as similar verses is that Allah is free from dimensions, space and time, and this command is proven by several verses of the Holy Qur'an. That is why it is narrated from Imam Malik that he used to say that the condition of the Equator on the Throne cannot be known by reason.  Belief in it is obligatory, but asking questions about it is innovation.
