Abstract

This research article provides an in-depth exploration of the origins and development of the Urdu travelogue. As evident from historical records, the first known travelogue was authored by Yusuf Khan Kambal. While travel books existed before him,still he holds a special place of prominence in this research. The article encompasses a comprehensive list of travelogues, capturing the evolving social dynamics, changing travel preferences, and advancements in travel-related facilities.
