Abstract

In twentieth century, a revolution took place in the world since the beginning of radio broadcasting. It influenced not only the world of news, but the whole of life. Radio broadcasting in the sub-continent began in 1935. At that time british imperialism in sub-continent was facing political movements and uncertain circumstances. These circumstances became the subject of literature. Not only writers and poets, but the people belonging to every field of life wrote autobiographies, among them were radio broadcasters. Their autobiographies describes the history of radio broadcasting in the sub-continent alongwith their personal lives. These autobiographies are the mirror of political, social, economical and cultural conditions of that time. These autobiographies reveal the political awareness of broadcasters and the people of their times.
