Abstract

Saadat Hasan Manto is that iconoclast in Urdu fictional writing that addressed and revolt against the outdated social norms of the society that constrain and restrict individual's freedom. He depicted the hypocrisy and double standards of the fake fabricated parameters of the society that make the individual astray of their true nature and purity.  His short stories reveal about how society manipulates and enslave those who are good by nature. The characters in Manto's short stories are helpless due to socials shallow narratives that restrict individual and never let them to live the life that is based on their true pure nature. His fictional work has highlighted the society that is full of contradictions and has spoiled the true essence of human greatness.. Manto's realistic depiction of human society enable us  to understand all that lead to corrupt  men of great virtues
