Abstract

Amjad Islam Amjad is an all round personality – of Urdu Literature. He is best known as a poet, columnist, critic and playwrit. His plays have been popular not only in Pakistan but also in other countries. His plays, Waris, Waqat, Din, Fasshar, Dehleez, Bandagi and Khawab Jagtey Hein, became famous. Amjad Islam Amjad made the problems of Pakistani society the subject of his plays on the one hand Pakistani society is mired is an outdated Feudal system, it is als vulnerable to Western Civilization. On the other hand, many aspects of Western Civilization have not only been adopted but new generation adopts it with pride. Amjad Islam Amjad has shown Eastern and Western Civilization in his plays. Sometimes, adopting western culture is harmful to our society. Women’s western style of freedom not only violates the basic principles of Islam but also becomes the cause of confliction between those two civilizations. Amjad Islam Amjad has tried to highlight the clash of Eastern and Western Civilization in his plays, so that our new generation can take pride in recognizing and adopting their Eastern and Islamic Civilization and culture.
