Abstract

Abdullah Hussain is a distinguished novel and short story writer in Urdu literature. The skillful utilization of themes and literary terms make him capable of attaining a key position in Urdu Fiction Writing.  One of the significant theme of his novels is feminism i.e. the rights, liberty and insecurity of women in patriarchal society. He has explicitly unmasked the need for the political, social, inner and emotional freedom of women. His prerogative is related to the economic, social and societal issues of women. This article reveals that how he had tried to rebut the violence, brutality, exclusion, repression and boorish rituals against women. Abdullah Husain’s novels and short stories make him an outstanding author of Feminist movement.
