Abstract

N.M. Rashid one of the most modern prolific Urdu poet, writer prose writer. He was blessed an educational atmosphere. He adopted poetry from his Grandfather and write a poem when he was in 5th class. His taste of poetry enriched in the passage of time he also made mark in prose writing. He wrote a few essays at intermediate class level but Government college atmosphere enriched his taste and versatility. Ahmad Shah Patras Bukhari was a great humorous writer and we can see its influence on N.M. Rashid's writings which was published in Ravi. He also wrote humorous editorials being a editor of Ravi. N. M. Rashid was a legendry man and he made a mark in poetry, criticism humorous and as prose writer.
