Abstract

The present article entitled "The prosodic study of Maulana Zafar Ali Khan's poetry" is an analysis pertaining to the prosodic system used by MZAK in his poems. MZAK is considered among the greatest poets of all times. He was the possessor of extraordinary poetical qualities. He used prosodic system of Urdu poetry with great skill and mastery, also he has more 'auzaan and bahoor' than many other poets in the history of Urdu poetry. Not only this study answers the questions arising from the prosodic system of MZAK's poetry but also would prove as a torchbearer for those researching in future on this subject.
