Abstract

Dr. Khalil Toqar, President of the Urdu Department of Jamia Istanbul Turkey, has made his name as a researcher, critic, poet and prose writer around the world. Urdu is not his mother tongue but he has made it his cloak. He wrote 26 of his 51 works only in Urdu language. Apart from this, he wrote articles in domestic and foreign newspapers and journals. Here we are mentioning some of them. In the article under review, Bazm Iqbal Lahore Pakistan's Quarterly Magazine Iqbal (اقبال) has a long discussion in the context of the life circumstances, birthplace, shrine, love of God and love of the Prophet of the famous poet of the Republic of Turkey, Yunus Amra. This article has three parts. In the first part Yunus Amra, in the second 'Subak Hindi' سبک ہندی and in the third part Urdu journalism in Istanbul is mentioned. In ‘Subk e Hindi’ a literary style and its customs, is given many opinions about the right and the way. However, most of the scholars who adopted the ‘Subk e Hindi’ were Turkish and Parsians. In this article, the beginnings, problems, and results of Urdu journalism are reviewed. It mentions the objectives of the Urdu Journalisms, obstacles, and the efforts involved in this work are mentioned.
