Abstract
This article endeavours to present a brief inquiry of Islamic religious sources and examines whether the claim that Islam is extreme is true or false, especially in relation to the method of moderation applied in religious teachings, requirements and human relations and authenticates that it is a religion of litheness, goodness, ease, moderation and not radicalism. Moderation in religion means that one does not inflate and go beyond the limit set by Allah, and that one does not neglect it and fall short of the limit set by Allah. Moderation refers to being economical and sensible in the way we do things. Islam is a religion of balance and emboldens moderation in all phases of life. In fact, an observant look at our faith reveals that each command, suggestion, and recommendation of Islam, from worship to lifestyle, resonates with the human temperament and is guided by moderation. Thus through moderation of Islamic plurality, multiplicity, or diversity that has become a necessity can be utilized as universal energy to break down the problems of the modern time.
