Abstract

Mirza Asad Ullah Khan Ghalib  is the biggest tradition breaker poet of his time. He spent about fifty or sixty years of his artistic life in contemplation, search, experience and acceptance? The new trends in life and thought, the new scope of expression, the height of ideas, the mood of the age to come are all reflected in Ghalib's words. He is a poet of life. The greatness of Ghalib is not only due to his ideas but also such rare pearls have been found from the bottom of this sea which on the one hand enriched Urdu poetry. On the other hand, Ghalib also got eternity. His greatness lies in the fact that he passed through the age of tradition and experience and presented in his speech the ideas which had not been considered or understood in Urdu poetry before him. They do not study the psychology of others, but reach the level of self-knowledge by delving into the depths of their own nature. The poetry of Ghalib is a collection of colorful ideas. There are countless songs in his instrument and every song is heartwarming. His idolatry is the essence of his self-knowledge and is a great tradition of our poetry.
