Abstract
Abraham Harold Maslow (1970-1908) was an American psychologist. He formulated his own theory to present man in a humanistic perspective, which he calls the Humanistic Perspectives Theory. There are some examples of Western critics examining the text in the context of Maslow’s theory, but there is no example of examining any text in the context of this theory in Urdu literature. In this article looks at two contemporary short story collections, "kahani ka aakhri kinara" and "katbon k durmian" in the context of this theory.
