Abstract

Forugh Farrukh Zad is a defiant Persian poetess. She made the dumb Islam women speak. Partav Rohila has translated selected poems from the verses of Forugh Farrukh Zad. The translation is both poetic & prosaic. Partav Rohila has maintained his standard in this translation. this research work has Rohila’s method and standard of translation. There is not much difference between Persian language and Urdu language or at least the family difference of language does not hinder these two languages. The difficulties encountered in translating from English to Urdu language are not so difficult in translating from Persian language to Urdu language. Still, it is a difficult task to translate Persian poetry into Urdu language.
