Abstract

Hazrat Abu Dhar Ghifari (May Allah be pleased with him) was one of the companions, who embraced Islam at the beginning of Islam. He was among the early companions who accepted Islam (Sabiqeen al-Awwaleen). After embracing Islam, the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) ordered him to preach Islam in his tribe. He was called Masih al-Islam due to his simplicity, piety, content, and patience. He was also called Hibr al-Ummah due to his deep knowledge. He has narrated 281 ahadith from the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and his love is reflected through his narrative techniques. This current paper denotes the Characteristics of Hazrat Abu Dhar Ghifari's life (May Allah be pleased with him) and expounds that how he has embraced Islam. This paper describes the life span of Hazrat Abu Dhar Ghifari's life (May Allah be pleased with him) by emphasizing the distinguished attributes of his personality. The paper explores his participation in several battlefields and his earnest devotion to serving the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). This paper particularly focuses on his life after the death of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) under the reign of Khulafa-e-Rashideen and examines the reasons for leaving Madina and settling in Syria. Finally, this paper discusses the relationship of Hazrat Abu Dhar Ghifari (May Allah be pleased with him) as a servant with the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him).
