Abstract

The modern era of literature and art has been preoccupied with discussions, interventions and oppositions about the modern type of literature study regardless of its nationality and language, and this modern type is known as comparative literature. This comparative trend has appeared in political and cultural circumstances affected by globalization in the present world. The cultural and literary situations have changed in the era of globalization, so national and linguistic literature began to exchange with other nationalistic literature. In light of these conditions, writers have taken up comparative literature, international literature and the universality of literature in their studies. Various trends, schools, and theories have emerged in the field of comparative literature so far as a result of the development of critical studies in this field, the different philosophies that have emerged in the field of art and literature, and the different global political theories. Among these trends: the historical trend that relies on positivism and which tends to study literature in terms of influence and influence, and the school whose owners follow this trend is known as the French School. The second trend in comparative literature is the critical trend "New Criticism", which depends on the moral and cultural principle and is concerned with the study of literature and art on the part of their artistic and aesthetic essence. In this article, the discussion will revolve around comparative literature in terms of influence and impact.
