Abstract
Human is a combination of body and soul. If the nourishment and pleasure of the body is connected with worldly possessions, then the freshness of the soul is special with the knowledge of Allah. The first and foremost duty of a man is to know about Allah Almighty who created him. When a man acquires the correct knowledge of the essence of Allah Almighty, there is no difficulty left for him to know the reality of the world. The first addressee of the Holy Qur'an is human being to whom Allah Almighty specially informs about himself that he is the Sovereign, the Creator, most Gracious and most Merciful, Omniscient, the first and the last, Ever - Living and Subsistent Fount of all being. However, a large part of the Holy Qur'an deals with same this topic. This topic is interpreted in the books of beliefs as "Tawheed Asma wa Sifaat". But those who have an opinion on the names and attributes of Allah have different views eventually they have scattered in different sects. The correct view among them is the view of Ahl-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah which is in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah that is, Allah is one in his essence and names and attributes and is unique and unparalleled as Allah Almighty has said that there is no one like him. That is to say, the proof of the thing is that he hears and sees, he knows and speaks, but it all is according to his glory, his example cannot be described and his condition cannot be described. That is, there is affirmation, but without analogy and allegory. Whereas some others completely denied the entity and characteristics of Allah Almighty and were called Jahmia, Mutazila, Asha’irah and. Some took the path of Unrealistic meanings and were called Mu’awwilah, Mushabbiha, and. Similarly, some are called Qadriyah, Jabriyah and Murjiah. In fact, all of them have preferred their intellect over narration in understanding the essence of Allah Almighty. Even in our subcontinent, some have preferred the same intellect over the narration in understanding and describing the oneness Allah’s names and attributes, due to which they have deviated from the correct view. G.A. Pervez, the author of Lughat-ul-Quraan, has also committed interpretation and denial in the names and attributes of Allah Almighty. For example, he interprets the "وجه الله" as the path and destination that leads to Allah Almighty. He interprets the “العرش العظيم” as sovereign and central control. He does not refer to "الماء" as water in Holy Verse “عرشه على الماء” but calls it allegory and simile. The real reason for this denial and interpretation is his rational speculations, which will be rectify in this research paper.
