Abstract

Urdu novel as a developed genre of literature depicts many aspects and perspectives of individual’s life and social themes and issues. The Urdu novels Fasaana-e-aazad by Ratan Nath Sarshar, Amrao Jaan ada by Mirza Hadi Ruswa and Kayi chaand thy sar- e- aasman by Shams Ur Rehman Farooqi depict many cultural and social themes. These novels are the best example of strong fictional and real character building in Urdu novel’s tradition. By these charaters, the writers of these novels have depicted many historical, cultural and traditional facts and details.
