Abstract

Iqbal became known as a national and Islamic poet because of pain of country and nation in his poetry. Before Iqbal, the tone of ghazal was different but he changed the style and melody of ghazal radically. He has an eloquent and epic tone in his Ghazal and this is the biggest difference what sets him apart from other poets. There are very few poets in Urdu poetry who are equally popular in ghazal and poetry, but nature was allowed to take some other work from Iqbal. In beginning of his poetry  he started writing poems in the near future. The beauty of his ghazal In spite of a radical change in language, accent and subject matter. This greatness can be seen in both his poems and ghazals. He radically changed the basic elements of ghazal, namely themes, style and accent. His Ghazal themes are national, international and metaphysical. He added new terms and using metaphors. Terms and metaphors have been negotiated in his ghazal everywhere. Despite he brings great revolution in Urdu ghazal.
