Abstract

Parto Rohalia was a famous critic and a researcher, he also did a great deal of work and research on Ghalib. It is due to his dedication to Ghalib that he is also known as 'Aashiq-e- Ghalib' in the Urdu literary world. He also did the tremendous job of translating Ghalib's letters that were written in Farsi to Urdu. For this contribution he was awarded 'Sitara-e-Imtiaz' in 2008
