Abstract

Urdu Ghazal is an ever green branch of poetry. It is refreshing in every covenant. Human feelings have been expressed in the Ghazal better than other forms of poetry. Ghazal is a mirror of the culture of sub-continent. Ghazal's comprehensiveness has bestowed individuality upon other forms of poetry. The classical Ghazal was limited to love and affection. However, there are many colours in the modern Ghazal as compare to its classical forms. It is integrity of Ghazal that it has supported each covenant with sophistication. Ghazal has absorbed all kinds of themes inside. This is the beauty of Ghazal keeping it alive and bright till today.
