Abstract

Women participated in various celebrations and occasions. The Mughal kings wanted to highlight their strong personality to the general public in celebrations, so that their fear would fall into the hearts of the people. The rules and principles for these occasions were “The king's entourage would present gifts to the king, and the king would give them precious gifts and titles, as well as many real estate and salaries. The women of the palace participated in these occasions, as did the singers and dancers, and the king would give them gifts. In the Mughal court, they were interested in two types of celebrations: the celebration of religious occasions, and the second, the celebration of cultural events. This article appraises the social life of Mughal women.
