Abstract

Abdullah Hussain (Urdu: عبداللہ حسین), (14 August 1931 – 4 July 2015) was an Urdu novelist and short story writer.Abdullah Hussain shot into fame with his novel Udaas Naslain. He also wrote novel Baag and Nadar Log.In his novels abdullha Hussain describes the First World War, the partition of the country and the economic situation that followed. He beautifully describes the everchanging values, traditions, lifestyles and economic conditions and problems of Urban and rural life.His novels deal with rural life and peasant life, from thought and suffering to political struggle.Public unrest and economic perceptions of the general public,s economic problems. This article gives an economic overview of his three novels “Udaas Naslain” “Baag” and “ Nadar Log”.
