Abstract

Ali Akbar Natiq is a well-known Pakistani Urdu novelist of twenty first century. He holds a distinctive place among the Pakistani Urdu novel writers. His novel ´Kumari Wala´ is like a mirror in which we can see the picture of whole society. He has discussed the crimes as well as the reasons and motives of crimes. His novel “Kumari” Wala presented the dark, gloomy and deplorable picture of the society. He has also discussed the crimes took by bureaucracy, landlords and a common man. In Urdu novels the presentation of crimes and its reasons is itself a meaningful subject. In the present article ´The reasons and motives of crimes in Ali Akbar´s novel ‘Kumari Wala ‘has been discussed so that a new dimension of his novels can be exposed to the readers.
