Abstract

Mysticism in urdu literature can be traced back to the origin of urdu itself. It came into urdu literature through Persian literature. Many of urdu authors have presented different topics of Sufism/ Mysticism like spiritual observation, mortality, immortality, peace, tolerance, harmony, Wahdat-ul-Wujood and Wahdat-ul-Shahood etc.All the authors since Deputy Nazeer Ahmad till new generation have included Mysticism in their research. Jameela Hashmi is also one of the renown personality in urdu literature. She has also discussed theory of Wahdat-ul-Wujood written by Mansoor Hilaj in her novel "Dasht-e-Soos". Positive as well as negative aspects of Sufism/ Mysticism are explained very beautifully in it.

Basic purpose of this article is to highlight that Jameela Hashmi has explained the importance of Mysticism and also explained that the relationship between Almighty Allah and human being is the only way of blessings of Almighty Allah in this world and the world hereafter.
