Abstract

Amrita Pritam is a well Known Hindustani Novelist, Short story writer and poetess. She highlighted the problems of women beautifully presenting his female characters are humble, soft, struggling in their personal lives and kept inactive in the flow of incidents and happenings of their individual circumstances. These characters collide with the social customs facing countless difficulties but lack the aspect of action which sums or found in the female characters of other short story writers. The mood of the female characters of Amrita Pritam is humble, patient and soft in nature. There is no any sense of revolt and reaction in their mind and action. This Article presents a study of the mood of Amrita Pritam's female characters.
