Abstract

Modern Urdu poem depicts many objective topics and subjective themes about COVID-19 Pandemic. This pandemic outbreak affected the human race at international level. Billions of people got infected and the remaining were on high risk to be got infection. Figures of infected persons and the numbers of death toll were increasing day by day. These devastating and traumatic situations create and give rise to a sense of fear and terror among people. Besides these psychological effects, Corona pandemic also put negative effects upon the socioeconomic conditions of the people and the counties at large. Due to these sufferings and conditions a shift of pessimistic thoughts and feelings like isolation, dread, doubt and fear prevailed throughout the globe. So these are the major issues and the themes of the Urdu poem written during this duration of Corona pandemic.
