Abstract

The monastic system of education and training has left deep and indelible impressions in Islamic history because after the incident of Karbala, when the caliphate changed to monarchy, the successors of Imam Hussain (RA) understood that now the ummah needs to be purified for the second revival. We can achieve the prophetic mission only through the maturity of the inner and the mind. For this purpose, the first regular monastery in Islamic history was established by Imam Zain al-Abidin under the name of Griya Monastery, and then this process continued until Imam Jafar Sadiq established a regular monastery. This continuity was laid when the descendants of Imam Hasan (peace be upon him) were brought to the sub-continent and then Abdullah Shah Ghazi came to Sindh and the Sufis who were both Sadats and non-Sadats came to Sindh and left an indelible impression in this region. Left and gave a beautiful monastic system which played an important role in the education and training of the Muslim people in the subcontinent. In some way or another, they are working for the welfare of Muslims and for their spiritual and inner cultivation. Now, time is needed to reorganize these monasteries and then take up the task of reviving Islam. In this article we will try to talk about monastic system and education
