Abstract

The Transgender Act of 2018 in Pakistan marks a significant legal milestone aimed at protecting the rights of transgender individuals. The act provides legal recognition for transgender individuals based on their self-perceived gender identity. It aims to facilitate access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities for transgender individuals. Transgender people can obtain legal documents that reflect their self-perceived  gender identity. While the Transgender Act has provided some legal rights but numerous Shariah and social issues remain unresolved.its implementation has revealed various Shariah and social challenges.this article discusses the social and religious aspects of this act.
