Abstract
The Holy Qur’an is such an effective book that everything seems to be influencing by it. It has an impact on religion and ideology. It affects languages and its different genres. Arabic poetry has the effect of the Holy Qur’an, but Abdul Aziz Khalid presented beautifully its influence on Urdu poetry. This article highlights the Qur'anic effects on Abdul Aziz Khalid’s poetry. Although Abdul Aziz Khalid was a commissioner of income tax, by profession, his poetry confirms his deep study of Arabic language. Under studies book, the first six are in the praise of The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and the Quranic style has been strikingly presented in them. Sometimes the first line of couplet consists of Quranic verse, sometimes second part of a couplet consists of Quranic verse and sometimes a complete couplet consists of the verse of the Holy Qur’an. These verses have been described keeping in order of precedence and modification. This is evidence of his being good at Arabic and accomplished in poetry.
