Abstract

Begum Sultana Zakir Ada was born in Rampur India. After Independence she migrated to Pakistan. Her husband, was a Captain in Army, Firstly, he was stationed in Karachi then in Rawalpindi and Lahore. In Urdu literature, as a Poetess, she got reputation. It’s her quality that she didn't bound herself with Poetry, but in Urdu Prose she distinguished her thoughts, and portrayed her ideas with different sketches.

As for as her Poetry is concerned, three volumes of her poetry had been published. If her poetry is analyzed, there is a depiction of religious touch, she had taken in her family which had a great reputation in the religious domain. She is lucky that she got many opportunities, in Pakistan and abroad to reveal Poetic talent both in Poetry and Prose, especially in woman literature, her name is in on the top of the list.
