Abstract
Bhakkar is located on the banks of the Indus River in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is also called Lucknow of Pakistan. After the establishment of Pakistan, a large number of poets and writers settled here. Among the local poets of Bhakkar, Qazi Fateh Muhammad Fateh, Asad Jafari, Bashir Ahmad Bashr and Athar Tirmizi are particularly noteworthy. The names of Abbas Khan and Akram Khan Niazi are prominent among the famous novelists of Bhakkar district. The best fictions were also written in Bhakkar. Whose example is not found anywhere in Urdu literature. Abbas Khan, Farhat Parveen, Qurb Abbas, Ali Shah, Ruby Niazi, Muhammad Ashraf Kamal, and others are very popular among these fiction writers. In Bhakkar district, Urdu prose has been well tested in other genres. These genres include biography, essay writing, sketch writing, travelogue, drama writing, column writing, Criticism, research and others are included. There was immense work in every genre of prose, which is an important milestone in Urdu literature.
