Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the objections surrounding the tradition of the beginning of revelation in Islam. The commencement of divine revelation to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a foundational event in Islamic history, but various criticisms and alternative interpretations have emerged over time. This study examines the key objections raised against the traditional accounts of the beginning of revelation, including issues related to historical accuracy, textual consistency, and the context of the revelations. By evaluating classical and contemporary scholarly critiques, the paper aims to clarify the basis of these objections and assess their impact on the understanding of early Islamic history. The analysis seeks to provide a balanced perspective on the tradition of revelation, addressing both historical and theological concerns while contributing to the broader discourse on the authenticity and interpretation of early Islamic narratives.
