Abstract

From the stories of the past era to the present day, the existence of women is giving a diverse thought to Urdu poets and literature due to their positive and negative attitudes. In every society, a woman holds her prestigious position as a mother, sister, wife, daughter, lover. Poetry, stories and songs are indebted to the existence of women. The poets introduced many new characters in their ghazals. The relationship between mother and child was clearly visible to the reader in the ghazals. The roles of lover and beloved changed. Many roles related to husband, home, courtyard, relatives, friends, Mecca, father-in-law and husband have appeared in Ghazal, now poets have their own style. After the creation of Pakistan, women poets got opportunities to express themselves freely. Ada Jafari is the first authoritative reference, after which Fahmida Riaz, Kishwer Naheed, Zahra Nigah, Hina Saeed, Shabnam Shakeel, Parveen Shakir, Shahida Hassan, Rehana Ruhi and many other poets became prominent in Urdu Ghazal.In this article presented the charecteristics study of urdu women,s poetry.
