Abstract

A multifaceted personality of PakpattanAyubAkhtar is known as teacher. He had been enriching his poetic sensibility with his innate poetical insight and profound love for verse. He is a versatile poet, dramatist, humorist, analyst, journalist, compere, actor, director ,producer, research scholar and a critic. In all these fields he has left everlasting marks. His poetry depicts his artistic and ideological maturity along with a continuous evolution of thought process. Diverse subjects with a tinge of humour is the main characteristic of his work. Inspired by Baba Freed's mysticism, he has written so far Hamd-o-naat, eulogies, hymns to sufi saints, elegies, ghazals, poems, songs, qawalis, translations in verse, and many title songs of dramas. He is known as a writer of diverse talents to diversity of subjects in his poetry and the fields in which he has worked successfully.
