Abstract

Dr. Shaukat Mahmood Shaukat is a renowned  and well-reputed literary figure of the present time. He is not only known as poet but his prose work in both genres of fiction and non-fiction is declared to be noble. As a researcher and critic, he  has also proved his strong grip upon research and criticism. Dr Shaukat Mahmood Shaukat was born in Peshawar (KPK) on Nov 03, 1967. His Father, Amir Muhammad Khan with Pseudonyms "Saghri" and "Aseer"  was also an eminent Poet and Prose Writer of Urdu, Persian, Punjabi, Pushto and English languages.Dr. Shaukat has also a valuable literary work in the quoted languages. He has more than a half dozen books of Prose and Poetry on his credit, which have been published time to time. He has also  done his Ph.D (Urdu) in Linguistics and Stylistics of Pakistani Urdu Naat. Besides this, he is also famous for his "Hamdia",  " Naatia''   and Mystical poetry as well as " Munaquib.  In this research article, we will study the elements of " Munqabat" in his Urdu Poems/ Poetry.
