Abstract

JOSH Malihabadi is the only example of his kind as a person in the history of Urdu literature. He was very much open and out spoken in his everyday life and his writings. He confessed all about him in his autobiography یادوں کی برات  and there is not much left behind. But on the other hand His personal letters reveal many thing and ideas of him and his relationship with other people. Khadim Hussain studied his letter with great zeal and dug out some very important and hidden aspects of Josh's life. In this article we also discussed the social aspect of his letters.
