Abstract
In the light of the noble character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), foreign policy among Muslims is evidently based on peace. Islam prioritizes peace over conflict, as evidenced both by the study of the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Therefore, all dealings of an Islamic state with other nations should be founded upon principles of peace and mutual security. This approach prohibits any form of aggression, extremism, or hostile intentions. However, it is crucial to maintain a balanced perspective in international policy, ensuring it is neither weak nor cowardly. When establishing relations with non-Muslims, it is essential to uphold rights with equality, while also being prepared to defend those rights if peace initiatives are not reciprocated. The command for Jihad in the path of Allah, as per the Quran and the exemplary conduct of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), becomes clear in such contexts. In summary, when formulating foreign policy, Islamic states should prioritize Quranic principles and the noble example of the Prophet (peace be upon him). This approach not only facilitates constructive diplomatic engagements but also allows Islamic nations to play a pivotal role in promoting global peace and stability through proactive actions.
