Abstract

Lévi Strauss was a French anthropologist and ethnologist who is considered one of the most important intellectuals and linguists of the 20th century.  In particular, a theoretical model that emphasizes the fundamental structure in cultural phenomena and human cognition. French social anthropologist Lévi-Strauss' ideas bring human life from degradation to beauty and creation of useful things. Lévi-Strauss compares this artistic process to the work of an indigenous man who solves technical or mechanical problems with available materials, calling this newly created process bricolage. "Muraat-ul-Aros" by Deputy Nazir Ahmed is an important and masterpiece novel of Urdu literature, its importance is hidden in its moral and educational message. Elements of bricolage can also be seen in this novel which is analyzed in this paper.
