Abstract
"There is no doubt that Islam is a religion of purity. It urges its followers to uphold purity and emphasizes its importance and virtues. The significance of purity is evident as it is considered half of faith. Every Muslim must purify themselves both outwardly and inwardly. The question that arises is how we can nurture ourselves. The answer lies in the light of the Qur'anic verses and the Hadith of the Prophet. Therefore, scholars have endeavored to educate people through the teachings of Islam by explaining the Qur'anic verses. Among these scholars is Sheikh Amin Ahsan Al-Islahi, who, through his exegesis 'Tadabbur-e-Qur'an' has focused on the development of individuals and society. His exegesis is one of the most renowned interpretations in Pakistan. In this article, I have highlighted Sheikh Al-Islahi's perspective on individual development with regard to purity. I focused on some examples from his exegesis 'Tadabbur-e-Qur'an' and chose this topic to underscore the importance of exegesis in the education of people in general and Muslims in particular."
