Abstract

Waheed Ahmad is a well known Modern Urdu poet. His area of specialty is Urdu poem. His poetry is full of modern sensibility. He has developed his modern and new style of cloak with allusions, mythological elements and folk tales , in modern Urdu poem. He has used the ancient civilizations of the world for the intellectual structure of his poems which bring forth the collective consciousness of man.  The study of Waheed Ahmed’s Poems with specific mythological contexts opens many chapters of thought and art, which seem to be a beautiful addition to modern poetics
