Abstract

The event of Isra and Miraj is a great and magnificent miracle of our Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (SWA). And in it, the great signs of Allah Almighty were also witnessed, even more magnificent. But even now, the detailed and authentic accounts of this great miracle are not found in one place together. In the Hadiths of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and Tafseer, wherever this event and its details have been mentioned, therein, either authentic narrations are mixed weak narrations, or they are collected together in the same way and a reader can’t dare to separate the authentic from the unauthentic narration regarding the same, so, the true from of the event does not come to light but after a heavy struggle. Another mentionable thins is that people are prone to extremism and exaggeration regarding this miracle, some people consider it a real incident with all its happenings and another school of taught are of the opinion that it was beautiful dream. The paragraphs in hand are regarding the said themes and handle the issue in a scholarly way to make the reader know the real and exact situation/status of the incident. This research will open some new aspects for readers and hopefully, will have an impact on the writings herein.
