Abstract

Ajodhya, an old city of Hindustan, is known as “Awaddh”. Which first  capital (in Nawaban-e-Awaddh age)was Faiazbad and then after Nawab Asifuddaulah’s arrival in Likhnow remained its capital. Nwaban-e-Awaddh were Ahl-e-Tashyuh. Nawaban-e-Awaddh (Nwab Asifuddoulah and after that till last Nawab Wajid Ali Shah) were fond of Literature so they oblidged Literary persons, like, Mushafi, Jura,at, Rangeen, Meer, Sauda, Insha, Nasikh Aatish etc. These poets set the foundation of a new Urdu school of thought which is called “Dabistan-e-Likhnow”. This school of thought is different from “Dabistan-e-Delhi” in different literary qualities. “Dabistan-e-Likhnow” has some values and qualities in its literature which are narrated in below lines.
